State Lobbying and Gift Laws – Know Before You Go

ISRI provides its members with important information on Lobbying Laws and Political Contributions at the federal, state, and local level. In some states and local municipalities, simply contacting an official concerning legislative matters can be considered lobbying. Included is an overview of 50-state summaries of key provisions, including lobbyist registration fees, penalties, gift restrictions, and thresholds for activities that require registration as a lobbyist.

This is an exclusive ISRI member benefit for ISRI's chapter leadership, who can access the information at www.stateandfed.com; if you would like access to the materials, please contact your chapter president. If you've forgotten your username or password or would like an overview of what the guides can do for you, contact Danielle Waterfield for assistance.
