Recycled Paper: Bringing Everyday Essentials

Recycled paper can be made into new paper and cardboard products five to seven times. As recycled paper content keeps rising, there are many ways it is turned into products you use every day.

The packaging for a wide range of goods including foods, household products, ready-to-eat meals, beverages and electronics is made from recycled paper fiber. The cereal box you opened this morning was made from 100% recycled paper.

The cardboard box delivering goods to your home is made from recycled materials. The package left by your front door this afternoon was made from more than 50% recycled paper,
and in some cases can be as high as 100%.

And as the final use, tissue and paper towels are also made from recycled paper. More than 90% of U.S. tissue manufacturers use recycled
 paper to make new products.
